Employment Opportunity : HOUSING/C.M.H.C MANAGER- Louis Bull Tribe

JOB OVERVIEW:

Housing /CMHC Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of housing and CMHC operations and services, including property management, tenant relations, and compliance with all housing and CMHC regulations. This leadership role requires extensive strategic planning and implementation. The Manager will require a deep understanding of Housing and CMHC Issues based on needs. The managers will work closely with other Louis Bull Tribe departments to ensure seamless delivery of housing and CMHC services and to support the organization’s mission of providing quality housing solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain and enforce Housing and CMHC policies and procedures

· Oversee the management of residential properties and housing units

· Prepare and oversee yearly workplans and budgets

· Maintain expenditure, ensure they do not exceed annual budgets

· Rent collection and maintain detailed records

· Ensure compliance with Federal, provincial, and local housing/CMHC regulations

· Ensure reporting follows Indigenous Service Canada guideline requirements

· Manage tenant relations and address tenant concerns

· Coordinate maintenance and repair activity

· Monitor Contractors, ensure scope of work in place

· Monitor Consultants to ensure a level of professionalism and oversight on major projects

· Monitor regular housing and CMHC inspections of the housing units

· Maintain an excellent working rapport with government agencies and community organizations

· Develop partnership with external stakeholders to enhance services

· Monitor, access, and report on housing and CMHC program performance

· Conduct market research and identity housing needs and trends

· Prepare grant applications and funding proposals · Perform other related duties requested by Chief & Council and immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Grade 12 or Equivalent Experience in Housing and CHMC

· First Nation Housing Management Certificate an Asset

· Leadership Skills

· Class 5 licenses (or better)

· Cree language an asset

· Extensive knowledge in Microsoft word, excel, and power point

· Basic Financial knowledge

· Must be willing to sign an Oath of Confidentiality and submit a Clear Criminal Record and CYIM Check.
