· Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

· Closed statutory holidays and during Christmas/New Years in accordance with Maskwacis Health Services business hours.

· Great relationship with local health care professionals at the Maskwacis Health Services Centre

· We are an independent pharmacy meeting the needs of people in our First Nations Community of Maskwacis & surrounding community areas.


The Pharmacist will be responsible for all duties relating to the dispensary of the Roots & Berries business division of Samson Management Ltd. The Pharmacist will report to the Business Manager of Roots & Berries Pharmacy.


· Dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately

· Providing comprehensive patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions

· Managing medication profiles, ensuring safe and appropriate use of medications

· Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy.

· Conducting medication reconciliation during care transitions

· Administering vaccines and immunizations, maintaining proper documentation

· Offering patient support and education for chronic disease management

· Staying updated with the latest advancements in pharmacy practice

· Advocating for public health initiatives and community wellness

· Practice to full extent of expanded scope with Professional Services, within your capabilities


· Must have a valid pharmacist license in Alberta.

· Must have additional prescribing Authority.

· Must have at least 2 years previous experience in pharmacy

· Must have a patient-oriented perspective & excellent communication skills.

· Strong personal computing skills and knowledge of Pharmacy system (Kroll) is an asset
