We currently have a position available for an Application Developer in our Information Technology department. This will be based in out of our Edmonton office. Reporting to the Software Development Manager and working within a dynamic team of IT development professionals, this role is responsible for the support and development of our applications, mainly related to our Guidewire system.

More specifically: Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

ï‚· Review software requirements, build Architectural diagrams & design documents.

ï‚· Write testable code and creating associated unit/automated tests.

ï‚· Understanding of the SDLC, Agile, and DevSecOps and be able to help build processes around them.

ï‚· Knowledge of building microservices and cloud service platforms (AWS) an asset.

ï‚· Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.

ï‚· Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.

ï‚· Help provide assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.

ï‚· Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications.

Required Qualifications:

ï‚· B.Sc in Computing Science, Technical Diploma Specializing in Programming, or equivalen

t. ï‚· 1 to 5+ years of development focused on Java or .Net and good working knowledge of JavaScript/HTML5/CSS

ï‚· Experience with client-side frameworks like React or Angular.

ï‚· Experience in designing REST based APIs.

ï‚· Guidewire development experience (GOSU, Jutro) and certification would be a huge asset.

ï‚· Solid experience using Microsoft SQL Server and related query tools.

ï‚· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

ï‚· Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.

ï‚· Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment.

ï‚· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

ï‚· Results oriented individual who thrives working in a fast-paced environment

. ï‚· Previous experience in insurance or financial institutions is an asset.

ï‚· Experience with .Net technologies (C#, ASP.Net, ASP Web API or other Web Development toolkits) are a nice to have. Working at Peace Hills Along with a competitive base pay,

ACCOUNTING CLERK

We currently have a position available for an Accounting Clerk in our Accounting Department. Reporting to the Billing Manager, the successful candidate will contribute to the achievement of a professional and efficient business.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

ï‚· Timely processing of accounts receivable, including verification and posting of payments and refunds and ensuring they are recorded correctly in computer based system

ï‚· Answer phone calls from customers, brokers and other departments to address a variety of billing matters

ï‚· Resolve issues and answer questions from internal and external customers

ï‚· Liaise with Underwriters and other groups across the organization regarding any billing transactions

ï‚· Preform reconciliations as required

ï‚· Resolve issues and answer questions from internal and external customers

ï‚· Maintain abeyances and ensure timely and effective follow-ups

ï‚· Deliver exceptional customer service in upholding our service standards and our commitment to continuous improvement

ï‚· Other duties as required

Required Qualifications

ï‚· High school diploma is required, relevant post-secondary education is an asset

ï‚· Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, working with computer-based systems

ï‚· Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service

ï‚· Effective problem-solving skills and math skills

ï‚· Strong data entry skills

ï‚· Possess a pleasant telephone manner and solid communication skills

ï‚· Exceptional attention to detail including a high degree of numerical accuracy

ï‚· Intermediate skills in Microsoft excel

ï‚· Ability to learn new computing software quickly

ï‚· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a diverse team

ï‚· Professional, efficient, and proactive with time-management and organizational skills

ï‚· Flexible and adaptable; able to work in an environment of shifting priorities and pressures
