Norpoint Sandblasting & Painting Ltd requires an Operational Administrator to assist in the management and execution of our company processes, including Safety, HR and accounting support and administration.

This individual will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Safety Administration support:

· Ensuring compliance with safety practices and policies

· Completing employee safety training and orientations, and ensuring certifications do not lapse

· Provide applicable employee records to customers as required for pre-job mobilization

· Facilitating the Certificate of Recognition (COR) and internal audits

· Ensuring ongoing compliance with COR Audit requirements (e.g. coordinating monthly inspections, JSA and FLHA reviews, etc.)

· Tracking and reporting relevant safety statistics

· Maintain ISNetworld, Avetta, Complyworks, or any other requisite safety certification programs

· Ensure competency evaluations are complete and achieved

· Ensure safety equipment is calibrated, and tracked

· Review, sort and file daily safety documentation coming in from the field

Human Resource support:

· Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding

· Coordinate PPE procurement and assignments

· Assist with payroll processing

· Oversee WCB reporting

· Posting job descriptions and filtering applicants

Accounting Support

· Payroll administration

· AR/AP support

This is a permanent part-time position, with potential for flexible hours and a possible evolution to full time.

Norpoint Sandblasting & Painting Ltd. is a medium-sized industrial sandblasting and painting company. We offer full service industrial coating at our Calmar, AB shop, and mobile services to clients across Canada.

We at Norpoint require an Abrasive Blaster and Coater. The applicant should be familiar with the safe operation of blasting equipment, safety equipment, and will be expected to work with the team to meet safety and quality standards. The applicant should also be experienced in spray and brush & roll application of coatings. Experience in QC (NACE/AMPP CIP Certification) is an asset.

This is a full-time position.

Job Duties

· Apply coating through spray, and brush & roll of coatings.Prepare, mask and protect sensitive or delicate equipment.

· Abrasive blast welds, structural steel, piles and other carbon steel equipment

· Ensure painted surfaces meet owner specifications, Norpoint quality standards, customer standards and paint manufacturer requirements.

· Competently repair all coating defects.

· Inspect equipment for cleanliness and damage and clean and/or repair equipment as required.

· Maintain safe working conditions at all times.

· Comply with Occupational Health and Safety standards and practices as well as Norpoint HSE practices and policies.

· Troubleshoot equipment if there is a malfunction.

· Complete general work area clean-up and organization.

Requirements

· Working knowledge of large industrial abrasive blasting equipment, including plunger and pressured pots.

· Working knowledge of industrial coating application.

· Must be able to lift 25 kg.

· Highly motivated and self-directed, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.

· Valid drivers license considered an asset
