Industrial Cleaning Labourers needed to support operations at chemical plants, pulp mills, oilsands, etc.

Spirit is hiring experienced Confined Space Entry workers for the 2026 turnaround season. We are looking to hire for a project starting in April with various later dates.

• Looking for background work with the following sites.

o Oil & gas processing plants

o Industrial facilities or terminals

o Refineries or upgrading sites

o Gas plants or compressor stations

o Industrial maintenance

o Industrial turnaround or shutdown work

o Large-scale manufacturing or processing facilities

Duties:

Assist with industrial cleaning activities at plant sites, facilities, and field locations

• Support industrial cleaning operations using equipment such as vacuum units, high-pressure

equipment, steamers, and combo units (training provided where applicable)

• Perform cleaning of tanks, vessels, separators, pipelines, and other industrial equipment

• Prepare work areas, assist with equipment setup, and complete clean-up following job completion

• Complete required safety documentation, participate in toolbox talks, and follow job-specific hazard controls

• Adhere to all site-specific safety rules, permits, and procedures

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, environmental awareness, and professionalism

• Work safely in physically demanding, active industrial environments, including outdoor and variable weather conditions

• Take direction from site leads and supervisors while performing assigned duties at client facilities

REQUIREMENTS:

Safety Ticket Requirements:

• Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive

• Energy Safety Canada Confined Space Entry and Monitor

• CSO (Common Safety Orientation)

• CSTS 2020

* Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection

• First Aid with AED

• Class 5 Drivers License an asset

(Spirit will train Candidates with an Industrial background if they are a good fit)

•Candidate Qualifications: AN ASSET (Spirit will train Candidates with Industrial background)

• Previous Confined Space Entry of Tanks and Industrial Cleaning Operations experience

• Breathing Air/Mask experience is required

• Clean Drug & Alcohol Testing (Provided by Vertex)

• Clean Shaven Fit Testing (Provided by Vertex)

• Pre Access Orientation (Provided through Vertex)

• Physically able to lift and carry up to 45 Kg

This role requires the ability to perform physically demanding work in active industrial environments.

Candidates must be able to:

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis

• Perform tasks such as shoveling, hose handling, and equipment support

• Bend, kneel, crouch, and climb as required by the job

• Stand and work for extended periods of time

• Work outdoors and in variable weather conditions

• Work safely around industrial equipment and active operations
