The Finance Manager will play a critical role in EETF’s financial management. The Finance Manager is responsible for managing, controlling, planning, and organizing the processes in both the finance and accounting of EETF. The primary duties include organizing and planning financial audits, evaluating reporting systems in place and developing new ones, and creating and implementing financial procedures in finance and accounting. Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to: ● Administer all paylists including the incentives and awards as per EETF programs policy ● Support the implementation of EETF Policies/By-laws ● Supporting EETF through effective public relations and reputation management ● Maintain bookkeeping and financial management on a regular basis ● Generate financial reporting and analyze data as required using excel documents, and/or other software as advised by the EETF Policies/By-laws ● Prepare all monthly bank reconciliations ● Prepare monthly financial report including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, expense reports, for presentation to Board of Trustees ● Manage and provide monthly investment reports from BMO and CIBC Competencies specific for this role: ● Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and payroll ● Develop and implement policies for finance and accounting ● Assist in the management investment strategies when necessary ● Verify systems and processes in place and make changes whenever necessary ● Oversee company payroll and leave requests ● Manage, direct, and control daily processes of finance ● Provide adequate support to office manager in terms of payroll, paylists ● Manage all data collected for financial purposes Qualifications ● Post-Secondary Degree in Business Administration or Finance with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a finance role ● Knowledgeable in MS Suite, including Excel and cloud accounting software (i.e. Sage) ● Expert knowledge in finance and accounting procedures and regulations ● Excellent organizational skills ● Strong analytical and leadership skills ● Ability to work under pressure and on tight deadlines ● Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written ● Exceptional reporting skills Experience leading or collaborating with a team, as well as strong coaching and communication skills is crucial to the Ermineskin Education Trust Fund and Ermineskin Cree Nation cultures and traditions. Familiarity with the Maskwacis Cree language and culture is an asset. Open competition, however Ermineskin Cree Nation members will be considered a priority.
