Open: January 25, 2023 Closed: February 8, 2023 Interview: TBD Summary: Reporting to the Social Program Manager, the Social Development Caseworker is a proactive professional who utilizes an integrated services approach to strengthen the First Nation’s workforce. The Caseworker provides support and guidance to First Nation Income Assistance clients to implement the Income Assistance Program. This model includes Application, Employment Readiness Assessments, Case Plan development, monitoring and client mentoring in the context of the Income Assistance program. The Case Worker assists individuals to make informed choices to enable them to achieve and sustain their personal employment and career development goals. The Caseworker will support and mentor the client from entrance into the IA program through provision of post-employment supports; and will both mobilize and coordinate other service providers in implementation of the client’s Case Plan. Skills & Abilities • Communication Skills • Must possess excellent verbal and written skills • Organizational skills • Human Relation skills • Conflict Management Skills • Motivational skills • Ability to Problem Solve • Commitment • Ability to work effectively in a Fast-Paced work environment Roles and Responsibilities • Louis Bull Tribe Department core competencies (e.g., adaptability, client focus, communication, organizational awareness, problem solving, results orientation and teamwork). • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, including appreciative inquiry and motivational interviewing, are essential to provide information, and guidance to individuals • De-escalation/ conflict resolution /negotiating/ troubleshooting skills. • Computer skills in basic keyboarding, Microsoft Word/Internet applications, web browsers, Windows, Outlook, • Perform all duties required by the Pillars of the Integrated Model • Type all correspondence as required • Establish and maintain an organized filing system both Hard Copy and Electronically • Perform other duties as directed by Manager • Ability to prepare effective correspondence on routine matters and perform routine office details • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Manager, fellow employees and the general public • Community and Public Relations Required Credentials • Clear Criminal Records check and CYIM check • Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence • Post-Secondary Degree and or Diploma in the Field of Social Sciences/Humanities/Business Administration or equivalent experience in related field. *A detailed Job Description will be provided to the successful applicant*
