The Jordan’s Principle Coordinator will report to the Director of Operations and work collaboratively with the Executive Director/Children’s Commissioner and the Managers of AMO. The AMO Society is looking to hire a Jordan’s Principle Coordinator, that will work to uphold Jordan’s Principle, the Coordinator will provide a ‘service coordination’ role in AMO for all Louis Bull children living on or off reserve and serves as the link between any First Nation child and the service or program need for the child.


The Jordan’s Principle Coordinator will work with Louis Bull Tribe children and their families in a collaborative manner; identify the needs of the child, and support families with meeting those needs (products or services) from service professionals and/or vendors in the health, social and education fields as well as other federal, provincial and community resources.


Summary of Key Responsibilities

· This position would be best suited to individuals who have an education background in health, nursing, social work or education. A combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered

· Previous proven experience working with First Nations organizations and Communities.

· Strong communication skills, demonstrated self-motivation, and the ability to work with minimal supervision

· Work collaboratively within a team structured environment

· Data collection: quality, consistency, integrity, and evaluation are a key expectation

· Proficient with using technology (laptops, database, pdfs, outlook, etc.)

· File Development: Creating and maintaining electronic records, databases and files, ensuring information is secure and confidentiality and privacy are maintained.

· Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

· 2 or more years of experience in a similar and/or administrative role

· Diploma or Degree in a Social Work field or a combination of lesser education and experience

· Experience working with First Nations Communities and members with demonstrated cultural knowledge

· Ability to travel for work related purposes

The Wahkotowin Tribal Care Worker will report to the Wahkotowin Tribal Care Manager. We are searching for a Wahkotowin Tribal Care Worker to provide focused family support to families with complex needs which; improves parenting capacity, adult capacity for employment and educational attendance of children, as well as decreases offending and other behaviors which cause risk to Awasisahk. To work with parents and their children in their homes and in groups, to increase the skills, confidence and abilities of all Louis Bull Tribe family members to live their daily lives in a positive and safe way.


Qualifications:


· Diploma in Social Services, Bachelor of Social work or similar education.

· Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

· 3 years working with families in social work/services field and supporting through various challenges (addictions, mental health, domestic violence, suicide, etc.)

· Knowledge of indigenous culture is an asset.

· Knowledge and application of therapeutic and intervention theories and the stages of child development;

· Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with individuals and groups from a variety of diverse communities and to resolve conflict in an effective manner;

· Knowledge of the AMO Law and Bill C-92

· Training in suicide prevention and cultural sensitivity

o Write content for both print and Web including the company website, blog, brochures, and newsletter.

o Plan and implement a communications strategy.

o Organize and direct promotional events.

o Recommend techniques to improve the company’s public image.

The Nation Designate under the direction of the Executive Director/Children’s Commissioner will primarily be responsible to coordinate, collaborate and consult regarding children and families who are eligible Louis Bull Citizens. The Nation Designate role is to ensure quality service delivery and accountability to children and families receiving services on/off reserve from other CFSA/DFNA’s. The CFSA/DFNA will be responsible to immediately inform the Nation Designate of any CFYEA involvement relating to member children and families. The Nation Designate will be contacted when a Temporary Guardianship or Permanent Guardianship is obtained in relation to children who reside on/off reserve. The Nation Designate will also work with the potential to be registered children that have lineage to Louis Bull Tribe.


Responsibilities


· Must be in contact with the CFSA/DFNA as they will contact the Nation Designate immediately at the onset of CYFEA involvement

· Must ensure consultation and collaboration is occurring by participating in Family Group Conferences

· Must act as an inter-provincial contact/resource

· Must liaise with other agencies, must prepare monthly reports to the Executive Director/Children’s Commissioner regarding the legal status, placement and well-being of all on/off reserve children receiving services under the CYFEA

· Will be required to network with community partners to access resources

· Will be required to make appropriate referrals to other agencies

· Will be required to make critical decisions in consultations with immediate Supervisor

· Must assist other CFSA/DFNA’s to provide cultural relevant service delivery

· Ensure involvement with on reserve clients

· Must be willing to advocate for all children (registered and potential to be registered) who are on/off reserve and receiving services under the CYFEA


· Must provide information to assist the legal guardian to obtain Registered Indian Status and Band Membership for eligible children

· Must assist the legal guardian to ensure children’s Treaty Rights are being protected

· Ensure that the children, parents and extended family have a voice in concurrent and permanency planning

· Assist the legal guardian to identify placement, extended family and community resources

· Receive, review and secure confidential information pertinent to the child’s file

· Attend case conferences pertaining to the children in other CFSA and DFNA offices as requested

· Assume shared responsibility for enhancing partnerships among the First Nation, the DFNA, and the CFSA in the best interest of the child

· May be assigned specific tasks in concurrent planning required where mediation, counselling, group work and advocacy is required


Qualifications

· Social Work Diploma, Social Work Degree, is preferred or related human services degree.

· 3 years of experience in a social work setting.

The Finance Clerk will report to the Finance Manager. We are looking for a Finance Clerk to take on various administrative tasks. Your main responsibilities will include filing and keeping financial records, preparing bills and delivering high-quality customer service. We’re looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail, strong math skills and the ability to multi-task efficiently. You should also be trustworthy and an excellent communicator. Your goal will be to ensure AMO’s accounting procedures run smoothly.

As an AMO Child and Family Services Placement Coordinator you will report to the Wahkotowin Tribal Care Manager and will be responsible for seeking out of home placements for children that enter the care of Asikiw Mostos O’pikinawasiwin Society Child and Youth Protection Services and matching children's specialized needs with the available placement resources' skills and abilities


Qualifications:

· Post-secondary degree in Social Sciences, Bachelor of Social Work preferred. Other acceptable combinations of education and related experience may be considered at a commensurate or under fill classification and salary.

· Knowledge of child and adolescent development and behavior including the effects of abuse and neglect

· Experience working with high risk, high needs children and youth

· Experience in assessing and identifying the needs of children and the suitability of available placement resources/options

· Ability to understand caregiver knowledge and experience to determine placement suitability

As the events coordinator, you should be well-organized and possess a sound knowledge of vendor management. Excellent communication and attention to detail skills are vital in this role, as our success depends on meeting AMO’s tailored requirements.


· Identify AMO’s requirements and expectations for each event.

· Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order.

· Manage all event set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes.

· Maintain event budgets.

· Book venues, entertainers, photographers, and schedule speakers.

· Conduct final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to the client’s standards.

· Assess an event’s overall success and submit findings.


Qualifications:


· At least 3 years’ experience as an events coordinator.
