Maintenance/Janitorial Worker

Summary:
Join our team to keep our health facility, client homes, and fleet vehicles safe, clean, and
well‑maintained. This hands‑on role supports the health and wellness of our community.
Responsibilities
• Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and
vehicles.
• Daily cleaning: sweeping, mopping, sanitizing washrooms, kitchen areas, and disposing
of garbage.
• Seasonal deep cleaning and upkeep of sidewalks/entrances.
• Support Home Care clients with small repairs, safety adaptations, and yard work.
• Wash and maintain medical equipment (e.g., wheelchairs).
• Conduct daily/weekly checks on fleet vehicles, schedule service, and maintain records.
• Report defects, unsafe conditions, and complete assigned tasks promptly.
Qualifications
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and punctual.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification.
• Experience in building maintenance
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Carpentry/mechanical skills an asset.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Commitment to abstain from drugs and alcohol.
• Ability to speak and understand Cree is an asset
• Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
• WILLING TO WORK IN THE EVENING AND WEEKENDS.
• Must provide a Clear Criminal Records Check

Job Title: Nurse Practitioner
Department: Kisipatnahk Health & Wellness – Louis Bull Tribe

Type of Position: Part-time Permanent

Job Purpose:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive, coordinated, and culturally informed
primary care services as part of a collaborative health team. This role supports continuity
of care, enhances access to programs and services, and promotes holistic wellness for
Louis Bull Tribe Members and residents. The NP partners with other health professionals to
deliver patient‑ and family‑centered care across the lifespan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, diagnose conditions, and manage
acute and chronic illnesses within a holistic model of care.
• Order and interpret screening and diagnostic tests; perform clinical procedures;
prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions; and coordinate referrals to
specialty care when required.
• Serve as an independent primary care provider for Louis Bull Tribe Members and
residents.
• Perform additional duties as required or requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• Master’s Degree in Nursing – Advanced Nursing Practice (Family All Ages) or
equivalent Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Nurse Practitioner registration in good standing with CRNA.
• Recent experience providing NP services to patients across all age groups.
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of communicable disease control, including immunizations (infant,
school-age, adult), TB control, and notifiable disease reporting.
• Experience in Prenatal/Postnatal Care, Primary Care, Home Care, Mental Health,
and Addictions Services.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to maintain accurate client health
records within an EMR; willingness to engage in ongoing EMR learning.
• Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good physical and mental health, emotional maturity, and ability to work effectively
in high‑stress situations.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of Louis Bull Tribe’s culture, governance, language, and community
dynamics considered an asset; additional language competencies are also an
asset.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications considered an asset.
• Valid Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract.
• Clear Criminal Record Check.
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
• Standard hours: 3 days a week – 8:00am–4:00pm (days negotiable)
• Flexibility and occasional overtime may be required
Compensation:
• Salary: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience and
qualifications.
• Benefits: Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision coverage after 3 months.

Summary:
The NNADAP worker is responsible to report to the Health Director.
This individual will be working with clients that require guidance and support in all facets of
addictions, behavior modifications, the restoration of family units and strengthening of their
Cree identity and teachings.
This position requires the individual to abstain from all addictions and will conduct
himself/herself with respect and maintain professional code of conduct, code of ethics and
confidentiality.
Experience & Qualifications:
Must provide a Clear Criminal records check.
Must provide Clear Child Welfare check.
Ability to speak and understand Cree is an asset.
Must maintain sobriety and abstain from drugs and alcohol.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Addictions Services Diploma – minimum 4 years’ experience working in Addictions field.
Specialized in substance and process addictions.
Individual and Group counseling skills.
Must maintain client confidentiality.
Computer skills including – word processing and power point presentation.
Current Certified Counselling Certificate is an asset but will train the right individual.
The ability to use his/her knowledge and experience in Cree culture and traditions.
Class 4 Driver’s License would be an asset.
