Summary: The Vehicle Maintenance Worker is responsible for managing the fleet of company vehicles and ensuring that they are properly maintained, safe, and operating efficiently. This includes coordinating vehicle schedules, washing interior and exterior of vehicles, overseeing repairs and regular maintenance. The role also involves maintaining records and documentation for vehicle usage, repairs, and inspections.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Qualifications: Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance best practices. Ability to troubleshoot common vehicle issues. Applicant must have excellent communication skills. Computer and report writing skills are required.

KCWS is looking to hire a Band Designate Clerk for the Edmonton region, Calgary region and Maskwacis area. This job opportunity is available to members of the four nations of Maskwacis to assist the Band Designate.
Summary: The Band Designate Clerk will work directly with the Band Designate, other Child Welfare agencies where Samson Cree Nation children are receiving child welfare services. Responsible for the completion of all filing duties for the Child Wellness Case workers; including, interview notes, case notes, legal documents, reports, etc. as per filing requirements. Responsible for the completion of a file review checklist semi-annually. Responsible to print face sheets each time new information is filed onto the children’s file. Correct, as required any deviances from file standards. Responsible for sign out/in of all child(ren) in care files and regular maintenance of the file room, with the exception of restricted files. Perform other clerical duties such as word processing, compiling and recording data, maintaining files and inventories, operating office equipment. Responsible for ordering and maintaining all Child Welfare forms. Responsible for disposition for caseworkers. Responsible for the paper file requests. Responsible for splitting files when needed. Responsible for preparing disclosures. Locate filed materials upon request, ensuring that materials are given only to authorized users. Work with management on different filing methods as required, e.g., date, etc. Maintain filing systems to meet administrative, legal and financial requirements. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations Must be willing to replace, temporary other clerical individuals as needed.
Education: Office Administration Certificate or High School with relevant experience. Minimum two (2) years related clerical experience.
Experience: Must have good knowledge of Samson Cree Nation family connections. Must have experience working with children and families and be familiar with the issues and factors affecting the local community, and experience in engaging community resources. The ability to speak Cree, knowledge of the Cree Culture and knowledge of the four nation families is an asset. Applicant must have excellent communication skills.

Kasohkowew Child Wellness Society (2012) provides statutory Child Intervention services to the community of Samson Cree Nation located in Maskwacis, Alberta, 85 kilometers south of Edmonton. We are currently seeking to hire a committed and motivated individual into the position of Accounts Payable Clerk. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible to process vendor invoices in a timely basis in accordance with the Kasohkowew Child Wellness Society Financial Policies and Procedures; the Kasohkowew Child Wellness Society Personnel Policies and Procedures; and all other applicable Federal and Provincial Government legislation, rules and regulations concerning Delegated First Nations Agencies.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities: • Receive invoices from vendors/suppliers and process them for payment. • Process cheque runs in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures. • Maintain positive communication with vendors/suppliers/service providers by: o Processing payment on a timely basis to maintain up to date accounts, o Reconciling monthly vendor statements with computerized accounting records, requesting statements as needed, o Responding to vendor inquiries in a timely manner and maintaining written notes of communication for file reference. • Process approved Purchase Orders and Cheque Requisitions. • Maintain filing of payment records and related approval documentation such as Purchase Order/Cheque Requisition Requests, Pre-Authorization Forms, Referral and Evaluations, Drive Referrals. • Assist in AANDC annual audit and compliance reviews as requested by the Finance Manager. • Assist in other areas of statistics and billing to AANDC and the Province. Qualifications: • Must possess an Accounting Diploma, Accounts Payable Certification and/or related training with two (2) years’ experience working with First Nations Administration. • Must own transportation, and the ability to travel. • Must submit a clear Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and Child Intervention Record Check, a valid driver’s license and drivers abstract. • Working knowledge of the Quick Books Enterprise and MS Excel is an asset.

Kasohkowew Child Wellness Society (2012) provides statutory Child Intervention services to the community of Samson Cree Nation located in Maskwacis, Alberta, 85 kilometers south of Edmonton. We are currently seeking to hire delegated Caseworker Generalist (s). Reporting to the Casework Supervisor, you will be responsible to provide a consistently high level of direct services to children and families in need of child intervention services. To meet the challenges of this position you will need to integrate your experience and knowledge with First Nations Children and Families with your Child Intervention experience. The Caseworker Generalist is expected to manage a full caseload and to apply the policies in screening, investigation, and ongoing case management. Other duties will include providing support in the intervention/prevention programs for families within the community and required to work after hours on a rotation basis.
Qualifications: • Must have Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Indigenous Bachelor of Social Work (IBSW) or other related discipline with a minimum three (3) years’ diversified Child Intervention experience. • Must be eligible to become a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with Alberta College of Social Workers. • Must have knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act (CYFEA), and the Enhancement Policy. • Must have a working knowledge of Child Intervention Case Information Online (CICIO). • Must submit three (3) work related reference letters. • Must own transportation and the ability to travel. • Must submit a clear Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, Child Intervention Record Check, a valid driver’s license, and driver’s abstract. • Ability to speak Cree and knowledge of the Cree Culture is an asset.
