SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Under the direction of the CTA Manager and Supervisor, the Groundskeeper is responsible for preforming regular day-to-day maintenance duties of all outside yards and sidewalk areas of the buildings as requested by the CTA Maintenance Manager. This is a full-time position; work hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ø Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the Samson Cree Nation Administration and all Band buildings as required.

Ø Keep garbage container areas clean.

Ø Dispose of garbage to proper locations.

Ø Maintain all yards and sidewalks – seasonal work.

Ø Heavy Lifting.

Ø Maintain Band equipment ex: mowers & tractors.

Ø Experience in carpentry, electrical and plumbing.

Ø Small Engines Repair & Service.

Ø Other duties as specified by the Manager and/or Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ø Building Service Worker certificate or related certificate.

Ø Experience in small engines.

Ø Able to lift furniture and cleaning equipment.

Ø Able to work on their feet for a complete shift while constantly bending, stretching, walking and lifting or moving things.

Ø Able to communicate effectively with others.

Ø Must have own vehicle.

Ø Successful applicant must submit insurance and registration.

Ø Must submit Drivers License with application.
