Pê Sâkâstêw Centre, Correctional Service Canada is seeking qualified individuals to provide contract services for Indigenous Language Instructor(s) in Maskwacîs, Alberta. The successful individual(s), and or third-party contractor(s), will be signed to a Service Contract for a period of one (1) year, beginning at contract award. The Indigenous Language Instructor shall expose inmates to Indigenous language(s) through lesson plans, conversations, workshops, and teachings. The objective of this initiative will be to provide Indigenous inmates access to their Indigenous languages and will contribute to Indigenous language revitalization and restoration. The proposed service provider must be able to provide services as follows: intensive language program designed for beginners to intermediate learners of the Cree language. Indigenous Language Instructors will be expected to provide at minimum 12 sessions for approximately 10 participants per intake. Interested parties must submit: Indigenous Language Instructor – resume, cover letter, and two (2) references who can confirm your work as an Indigenous Language Instructor. The successful individual(s) must be able to obtain an Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance from the Government of Canada. This clearance will be obtained prior to any work beginning by the successful individual(s). The list of successful service providers created from this solicitation poster will be valid for a period of two (2) years.
